You made it out! Now come back.

50 Years Beyond Benny

Benedictine Class of 1975 Reunion -
A Celebration of Survival!

In June of 1975, we were happy to survive 4 years of catholic high school and bug out with a diploma. And now, 50 years later, we’re still above ground! It’s time to celebrate together.

Some of us spent 12 years together from St. Scholastica Grade School through Benedictine High School. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to hang out again and reconnect? Sometimes old connections lead to the best “new” friendships.

But let’s not kid ourselves, we’ve all learned that life is not always a bowl of cherries. We’ve all bumped into some barbed wire, and have the scars to prove it. Heck, you probably got some of those at Benny (sorry about that). But now we’re all older and wiser (we are, aren’t we?). I bet you have much better stories to tell now than the ones you brought to the lunchroom.

If you are blessed to be able to read this invitation to this Benedictine High School Class of 1975 Reunion, and you’re healthy enough to consider coming (we know some of you are suffering, and we’ll miss seeing you), don’t pass up this opportunity to spend this time with your tribe. Who knows? We may never pass this way again.

The Class of ’75 Benedictine & St. Scholastica Reunion will be:

  • on Saturday, May 3, 2025 starting at 5:30PM
  • at One Under Banquet Hall , 35780 Five Mile Rd. Livonia, MI 48154
  • for $65 per person including dinner plus a cash bar (and you don’t need to pay today)

Got
Facebook?

We have a private group on Facebook called Benedictine High School Class of 1975 FiftyYear Reunion. If you’re on FB, let us know if you would like to join the group. Again, our schoolmates from St. Scholastica School are most welcome.

AND, if you’re on Facebook and would like to let your classmates in on what you’ve been doing — whether you’re attending the reunion or not — please consider the following…

All About You Since Benedictine High School

So whatcha been up to? What a question… how can you possibly answer that in the context of 50 years, or even 30 years (since the last reunion)? Well, how about we make this simple. Here’s how…

Below are 5 questions. Answer each with 3 sentences. That’s 15 sentences total. You can do this.

Then you can post your prose to the Facebook group mentioned above so classmates can check out the Cliff notes of your life story. Whether you’re going to the reunion or not, we’d love to learn a little about your life since you left Benny High. Here we go!

1. What do you do for fun?

2. Where has life taken you?

3. What have you learned from life that you care to share? Maybe with a story of how you learned it.

4. What are some important memories you’ll never forget? They don’t have to be from Benedictine High School (or St. Scholastica), but they could be!

5. Is there anything else you care to share? (yes, a catch-all question!)

Or you can ignore all 5 questions and freestyle it. We just want to hear from you. And don’t worry, it won’t be graded. More importantly, Mrs. Reuter won’t be offering any editing suggestions.

Then post it at our Facebook group, Benedictine High School Class of 1975 FiftyYear Reunion. See you there!
